One of China’s modern educators said, “A good education uses 50 ways to teach one child, as there is not one way to teach 50 children”. (真正好的教育是用50种方法教一个孩子，而不是用一种方法教50个孩子 – 郑渊洁）
Every child is different and unique, so why isn’t every school?
I have built Little Hands with the philosophy of celebrating differences. Our teachers backgrounds’ are diverse. They hail from China, other Asian countries, and the USA. We offer various teaching techniques to reach the same goal – to help each child achieve their own true potential in a loving, collaborative learning environment that emphasizes individual learning, with positive and motivated instructional methods.
I was born and raised in mainland China. I moved to Round Rock with my daughter in summer 2007 when she was 5 and ready to enter kindergarten. It’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I hold an International Montessori Teaching Certification for 3-6 years (Oct 2008) and worked at a Montessori school for nearly 2 years. I also hold a certification in Positive Discipline Classroom Education Nov 2018 (正面管教学校讲师认证）and Early Childhood Education Sep. 2019 (正面管教早期教育讲师认证). Constant learning and continuing education for myself and our teachers is a prerequisite to successfully running the brightest, most prepared school in the area.
I love owning Little Hands, as I’ve created a place where children enjoy daily support, love and fun, creating happy and comforting memories for the future.
